The cord grip is an alternative to the cord plug, the cord grips is fitted to the sash cord when it is squeezed over the cord with pliers, the grip is then fitted to a nail or screw to hold the grip and cord, the grip and cord can be disengaged to allow the window to be opened inwards as part of the simplex system.
